Victor's work reinterprets key moments in the history of black struggle. In his selfies, he becomes slaves and soldiers so they cannot be forgotten and will always be remembered. His connection between the historical figures he depicts in his self portraits' is exceptional as he was not taught about the Black history when he was younger and in school. “The art I produce is an attempt to build another bridge between these people that are actually one people—that were separated by history and slavery and the colonial era.' Victor has personally advised young photographers to start taking photos without having a fancy camera, because using a phone can have the same quality. In addition to this, start showing and expressing the photographs you take.
